Although we are experts in our fields, we were never taught modern best practices for task management and improved productivity. Forced to adopt out-dated or ad hoc methods, we’re being held back from our best, causing unnecessary stress and dampening of our natural creativity and enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, the ad hoc and traditional time management strategies that we resort to don't scale to the demands of the new world of work. As a result, we often employ ineffective “solutions,” including multi-tasking, working overtime, and sleeping less. These simply aren't sustainable.
