Still alive :-)

Day of the Dead #3 / Día de los Muertos #3

Just a quick note to say yes, I'm still kicking. Going through a bit of a reality-check re: where I am with Think, Try, Learn and Edison, and I'm brainstorming some options for funding them. Now that I've had an anti-burnout reset, I'd welcome a situation in programming, especially if something exciting comes up. I'm also open to other work that involves research, thinking, and writing, say in technology, engineering, or the QS tool realm. I'd welcome your suggestions and pointers to possible opportunities.

Let me leave you with a few quotes.

You could never be bored when you confronted mystery.

From The Burning Wire: A Lincoln Rhyme Novel (I'm a sucker for Jeffery Deaver's work). Everything seems stupid when it fails. -- Fydor Dostoevsky, from Crime and Punishment (free download here).

I was thinking what was this article all about until you leave that nice quote. :-). I always think too much now, maybe because many things are bothering my mind (makes me still alive) that needs to be answered. But you made me realize that i should never continue such behaviour and try to shift it to something that is useful and have great impact or help to others. Thanks for sharing this. :-)

Simple but yet have a great meaning if you really think of it. Mostly people have lots of interest. They intend to know everything and learn anything to make their life productive and a help to others. Its a nice thing that they are doing this for good.

"Everything seems stupid when it fails." probably yes, but only in a time, failures must be used as a stepping stone to succeed. It must not be taken as failure actually but a learning lesson.

I agree with your quote " You could never be bored when you confronted mystery." Mystery for me also makes me feel alive.
